It feels like we’re all looking for that shortcut to the perfect body, wealth, or healing. that one quick step to bring us from a to b where we think we’ll immediately be happier. i think we tend to forget that the real magic and change happens in the “in between”. those moments in between the heartbreak where you still get up out of bed and force yourself to eat something. those moments where you know that life still goes on and you have to keep it moving. when you go to the gym and try a new workout and then another and then another until it’s a repeated pattern. the consistency. the secret is consistency. the everyday steps you take to become a little better than you were the day before. this is the part we all want to skip over. but we have to feel it. feel the pain, the sorrow, the grieving; all of the old self. you’re becoming someone new. someone the future version of yourself will thank you for. it’s not about how fast you’re going, but just the fact that you’re still going.
